Kinds of TV wall

From a shelf to a whole wall

  1. T–01

    Floating console

A low unit fixed to the wall, clear of the floor. Light to look at, easy to clean under.

  2. T–02

    Panelled wall

Fluted wood, veneer or stone behind the TV, so the screen sits in a frame, not on a bare wall.

  3. T–03

    Storage wall

Closed cabinets and open shelves around the TV, for living rooms that need to hold a lot.

  4. T–04

    Partition unit

A TV unit that also divides the living room from the dining area, finished on both sides.

Planned in the drawing

No wires on the wall

Height
The screen is set for the sofa you sit on, not for a person standing.
Wiring
Power, cable and speaker points are placed in the drawing, so the wires run inside the panel.
Devices
A ventilated shelf or drawer for the set-top box, router and speakers.
Light
A soft strip behind or above the screen, and lights that do not reflect in it.

Questions

About TV units

Can the wires be hidden?

Yes, when the points are planned in the drawing before the panel is made. In a finished home, we look at what can be moved on the site visit.

Do you design the whole living room?

Yes. The TV wall is usually one part of a living room design, with the ceiling, lighting, storage and finishes drawn together.

How much does a TV unit cost?

It depends on the size and the finish. Your quote is itemised after the site visit.
