Types

Three ways a wardrobe opens

  • Hinged

Doors that swing open, so you see the whole inside at once. Needs space in front for the doors.

  • Sliding

Shutters that glide on a track. For rooms where a bed or a passage sits close to the wardrobe.

  • Walk-in

A small room of its own, lined with storage, seen here from above. For a spare corner or a large bedroom.

The inside

Planned around what you keep

We start with a simple question: what goes in it? Saris and suits need long hanging; shirts and kurtas need short; folded clothes need shelves at eye level.

Hanging
Long and short rails, placed by what you wear most.
Drawers
For small things that get lost on a shelf, with dividers where they help.
Shelves
Folded clothes at eye level; spare bedding up high.
Loft
Storage above the wardrobe, up to the ceiling, for suitcases and things used once a year.
Mirror
Inside a shutter, or on its face, so it takes no wall of its own.
Light
A strip that comes on when the door opens, for the back of a deep wardrobe.

Finishes

The face of the room

A wardrobe is often the largest surface in a bedroom, so the shutter finish sets the mood. Laminate, acrylic, PU paint, veneer and glass each look and wear differently.

Questions

About wardrobes

Hinged or sliding: which should I choose?

If there is room in front for the doors to swing, hinged shutters show the whole inside at once. If the bed or a passage is close, sliding shutters save that space.

Who makes the wardrobes?

They are made by our own carpentry team and our own modular factory, to our drawings.

How much does a wardrobe cost?

It depends on the size, the inside fittings and the shutter finish. Your quote is itemised after the site visit.

Is there a warranty?

On the branded range, yes: 25 to 30 years. It follows the maker's written terms for the materials you choose.
